New Beginnings Women's Group
New Beginnings is for women of all ages with a loving heart and nurturing spirit. We meet monthly on the third Tuesday of the month in the Parlor at 6:30 pm. Light suppers are also provided after the meeting.
At different times of the year, the group collects school supplies to donate to our neighborhood school, holiday meals, and gifs for families all within PNGISD. Occasionally we provide a meal for Lamar University students at the Wesley Foundation.
New Beginnings plans every year for the church Bazaar, the annual fundraiser in October. Members bring handcrafted items, jewelry, seasonal decorations, homemade soups, jellies, condiments, cookies, and desserts to sell. The big draw is the plant sale with beautiful plants for your home and yard. The proceeds from this sale are used for scholarships and missions.
The group’s monthly meetings allow time for fellowship and planning but are not a requirement. Helping hands and ideas are always welcome for the different activities on behalf of our church family and our community.
